Murray River Salt is Australia's original gourmet pink salt and is harvested from the ancient underground saline waters in the Murray/Darling River region. By intercepting these underground aquifers, which would otherwise contaminate the Murray River, the salt flakes are helping toward the effort to combat Australia’s inland salinity problems.
This pure ancient sea salt contains no additives or preservatives, but is loaded with natural minerals and elements such as magnesium and calcium. These natural mineralized brines give the salt a unique pink colour, a delicate texture and and delicious flavour.
