The cornerstone of the Mamma Marilena range is the delicious Almond Bread, always a beloved favourite at Italian gatherings and also a hit amongst Aussies who have discovered it goes exceptionally well with a good short black, a latte or even a glass of wine. The company’s Nut Breads were awarded Best New Bakery Product at Fine Food Australia in 2009, evidence not only of the wonderful flavours but also of the quality, locally-sourced ingredients that go into every recipe.
The sweet life
For those with an even sweeter tooth, there is no going past Mamma Marilena’s Meringue Shells, Macaroons and Mini Meringues. Fill the shells to overflowing with whipped cream and fresh fruits for the easiest of desserts to impress your dinner guests. Or crush the minis or macaroons over ice cream and drizzle some Frangelico or Kahlua over the top for a wicked taste sensation.
If your tastes lean towards the savoury, you’re in luck. Mamma Marilena produces tubs of premium packaged nuts and dried fruits. Many of Mamma Marilena’s products are made from ingredients that contain no gluten, however please be aware that all Mamma Marilena’s products are made in the same kitchen. Therefore as some Mamma Marilena products do not specificially contain gluten small traces of gluten maybe evident.
